Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare the layout of the project.
- Select materials.
- Work with blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Able to use hand tools.
- Work on ladders and the top beams of buildings.
- check work along the way to ensure it is up to code and specifications.
- Build and install iron of steel girders, columns, and other construction materials to form buildings.
- Cut, position, and bolt down steel bars to reinforce concrete.
- Erect steel frames.
- Direct operation of cranes to move structural steel, reinforcing bars, and other materials.
- Connect steel columns, beams, and girders.
- Bolt or weld piece into place.
- Install stairs, handrails, or curtain walls.
- Other Duties and responsibilities as required.
